Danada House Wedding | Allison + Chris

this. gorgeous. place.

the danada house and its vintage charm make my job easy. seriously. i'm still smiling about how much fun i had (sunset drive in a model a car, packed dance floor, shared cheese fries... i'm looking at you.) but my heart? it's hidden between the intricately planned details, clung to emotions that roll like tides; ceaseless ebbs and flows turning butterflies into bliss. great people madly in love. the start of forever. it's an honor to document moments like these, and the day i spent with allison and chris was a poignant reminder of why i love what i do: it's the people. their joy. their families and friends and the incredible energy vibrating through each moment. chris is a hilariously sharp and caring friend, and his dedicated love (11 years!) to allison just blows me away. she has an adventurous heart of gold and is filled to the brim in grace. i've never seen any two people so confidently centered in their love. here's to all the chapters still unwritten. a+C, it was truly an honor to document and celebrate your love alongside you.

Vera & Chad's Aquatorium Wedding

After being caught in the chaos of a cross-country move to California, I've finally had the opportunity to share this beautiful wedding. It's one of my very favorites. And you know what? It's not because I had perfect light, beautiful scenery, gorgeous florals and a super rad couple to work with. Of course, this wedding was all of those things and more, but I love it because this day wasn't perfect.

It downpoured. The wind was whipping off of the lake. The outdoor ceremony was unexpectedly moved inside.

But in the end, none of those things mattered.

Vera, Chad, you two endured more on your wedding day than most, but you smiled your way through it, we laughed, and it will forever be one of my favorite days. Thank you for allowing me to tell your story, to celebrate your love, your cultures, your history. You could truly feel yourself surrounded in love from everyone there with us, present and past. Quick thinking and the helping hands from amazing friends and family allowed LOVE to be kept the center of attention amongst the hurdles from mother nature; guests from all over the world were here. Together. Celebrating.

That is what true love looks like.

It's a little rough around the edges and imperfectly beautiful, but aren't all the best things in life?
